In Nordfjord you are greeted by a beautiful stretch of coastline, towering mountains, and the biggest glacier you’ll find on mainland Europe: Jostedalsbreen.
The mountains in Nordfjord plunge from altitudes of a few thousand metres, straight down into the fjord and the ocean, and create amazing waterfalls. The innermost part of the region has glittering glaciers, straddling narrow valleys, and Europe’s deepest lake, Hornindalsvatnet.
