Milan, Italy
Arrival in Milan
On arrival at Milan Malpensa Airport, you’ll be met by your Topflight Tour Manager and escorted to your private coach. Enjoy a comfortable transfer of about an hour to the elegant lakeside town of Stresa, where you’ll check in at the Hotel Milan Speranza au Lac — your base for the next seven nights.
Located right on the promenade and steps from the ferry pier, this charming, traditional hotel offers the perfect location for exploring Lake Maggiore. Settle in, take a stroll along the waterfront or enjoy a drink on the terrace before your welcome dinner at the hotel.

Lake Maggiore
After breakfast, set off on a scenic boat trip across Lake Maggiore to visit two of its most beautiful islands. The first stop is Isola Bella, where you’ll enjoy a guided visit of its grand Baroque palace and ornamental gardens, filled with terraces, fountains and rare plants.
Continue on to Isola dei Pescatori, a charming island with narrow lanes and a traditional fishing village atmosphere. You’ll have time to explore at your own pace and enjoy lunch in one of the lakeside restaurants before returning to Stresa in the afternoon.
Switzerland and the Centovalli Train
Today’s journey takes you across the border into Switzerland for a scenic adventure through the Alps. Travel by coach to Domodossola, where you’ll board the famous Centovalli Train. This narrow-gauge railway winds its way through deep valleys and over dramatic bridges, offering stunning views of forests, waterfalls and mountain villages along the way.
Arrive in the elegant lakeside town of Locarno, set on the northern shore of Lake Maggiore. You’ll have time here to stroll the old town, relax with a coffee or do a little shopping before returning by coach to your hotel in Stresa in the late afternoon.
At Your Leisure
Spend the day as you wish. Stresa, located by Lake Maggiore, offers breathtaking views of the lake, luxurious hotels, and scenic views of the Borromean Islands.
This is the perfect opportunity to explore the town, relax by the lake, or enjoy a leisurely lunch at a local café.
Lake Orta and Isola San Giulio
Today you’ll discover one of Northern Italy’s hidden gems — the peaceful and picturesque Lake Orta. Travel by coach to the charming lakeside town of Orta San Giulio, where you’ll take a short boat ride across the lake to its small central island.
Enjoy time to explore the island’s quiet lanes and lakeside views before returning to the mainland. The rest of the afternoon is yours to wander the cobbled streets of Orta San Giulio, browse local shops or enjoy lunch at your own pace. You’ll return to Stresa by late afternoon.
Day at Your Leisure
Enjoy another day at leisure to unwind and take in the beauty of Stresa. Consider relaxing by the hotel pool, exploring the lakeside promenade, or renting a bike to explore the scenic surroundings.
Local travel agencies offer excursions to nearby attractions, including Villa Taranto, and Switzerland’s Matterhorn.
Savona (for Genoa and Turin), Italy

Today you’ll travel by coach to the elegant city of Turin, the former capital of Italy and home to grand boulevards, royal palaces and rich cultural heritage. A local guide will take you on a walking tour through the heart of the city, highlighting its historic landmarks and refined architecture.
Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore at your own pace — browse the shops, visit a museum or simply enjoy lunch in one of Turin’s famous cafés. In the afternoon, you’ll be treated to a tasting of Bicerin, the city’s signature drink made of coffee, chocolate and cream, before returning to Stresa in the early evening.
