A rooftop pool crowns the Grand Hotel La Pace. It’s set in a sun terrace lined with sunloungers and finished off with long-reaching views of the sea, mountain and city. There’s a snack bar up here, too. Main meals are taken care of by the restaurant – think big buffet breakfasts plus lunches and dinners, too.
The best views at the Grand Hotel La Pace come courtesy of the rooftop pool – Sorrento, the Lattari Mountains and the Mediterranean are spread out below. The cloud-shaped pool is surrounded by royal-blue sunloungers and parasols and bookended by tall palm trees.
A buffet is served in the restaurant every morning, plus at lunch and dinner, too. Come lunchtime, the pool bar displays pizza and tricolore salad. In the evenings, you can migrate to the cosy Bar Velvet for an aperitif or cocktail. There’s a dresscode at dinner time, it’s long trousers for men.
Occasionally a pianist provides a soothing soundtrack in the bar. Spot-lit watercolours and heavy drapes decorate the space.
Thanks to the hotel’s bus service, you can be among the cobbled streets and limoncello shops of the town centre within 15 minutes. A 10-minute walk takes you into the heart of Sant’ Agnello where there is a selection of local cafés and bars.
