In the evenings, you’ve got a handful of eateries to pick from, including an Italian and a steakhouse. Kayaking, paddleboarding and snorkelling top the things-to-do list. After dark, catch a show, or settle in with a tipple in the lounge bar. Children aren’t forgotten – they’ve got a small waterpark to splash in, and the RiuLand kids’ club puts on activities every day.
Most of the action happens around the three palm-edged pools, one of which is just for grown-ups and fitted with a swim-up bar. There’s a children’s paddling spot, as well.The kids’ pool is set up with slides and fountains, plus a row of sunloungers at the water’s edge where mums and dads can take a seat.

Snorkelling is the activity of choice here – even a short trip will have you mingling with coral-coloured starfish and speckled rays. Livelier watersports include kayaking and paddleboarding. Foam parties start up once or twice a week in the main pool.
