Itinerary
1Departure from Ireland to Llandudno+
Our journey begins at your local pick-up point, travelling by coach to Dublin Port for the ferry crossing to Holyhead. Upon arrival in Wales, we travel through the scenic northern landscape to our base for the next four nights, the Imperial Hotel in Llandudno. A welcoming dinner will be served at the hotel this evening, allowing you to settle in and meet your fellow travellers.
2Conwy Castle and the Wonders of Wales tour experience+
After a hearty breakfast, we take a short drive to the imposing Conwy Castle for a guided visit. This fortress offers a fascinating look into medieval history. Afterwards, we stroll into the town centre for some free time to browse the shops or enjoy lunch in a local pub. In the afternoon, we return to Llandudno to ride the historic Great Orme Tramway. This cable-hauled tram provides magnificent views over the coast and mountains from the summit.
3Exploring Snowdonia and Heritage Railways+
Today we travel into the heart of Snowdonia National Park, a region famed for its dramatic peaks and valleys. We stop in the picturesque village of Betws-y-Coed before continuing to Llanberis. Here, you can choose between a lakeside walk or a heritage train ride on the Llanberis Lake Railway. We also visit the historic Quarry Hospital to learn about the lives and hardships of the local slate workers in the 19th century.
4The Italianate Village of Portmeirion+
We head to the unique Portmeirion Village, travelling through the Conwy Valley and Blaenau Ffestiniog. This colourful village is famous for its Italian-inspired architecture and beautiful coastal gardens. There is plenty of time to explore the winding streets and soak up the Mediterranean atmosphere in the heart of Wales. On our return leg, we make a stop in the historic town of Caernarfon before spending the evening at your leisure in Llandudno.
5Return Journey to Dublin Port+
After our final breakfast, we begin our journey back to Holyhead. En route, we make a fun stop at the village with the longest name in Europe, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, for photos and a bit of shopping. We board the 14:45 ferry, arriving back in Dublin Port at 18:00, where our coach will return you to your original pick-up point.
