Itinerary
1Arrival in Munich+
Upon landing in Munich, you will be met at the airport by your local guide. After a warm welcome, you will be transferred to your hotel to settle in and begin your holiday.
2Exploring the Munich Old Town+
Start your day with a guided walking tour through Munich's historic heart. You will see Marienplatz, the impressive New Town Hall, and the famous twin-domed Frauenkirche. To wrap up the morning, sit down for a traditional Bavarian lunch before enjoying a free afternoon to explore the city at your own pace.
3Festive Magic and a Winter in Bavaria Experience+
Enjoy a relaxed morning to yourself. In the afternoon, we head to the iconic Munich Christmas Market at Marienplatz. With over a hundred stalls set against the backdrop of the illuminated Town Hall, it is the perfect place to find handcrafted gifts and try some seasonal gingerbread or mulled wine.
4Medieval Regensburg and Onwards to Nuremberg+
After breakfast, we depart for Nuremberg, stopping en route at the medieval city of Regensburg. We will enjoy a guided walk through its narrow lanes, visiting the Gothic cathedral and the ancient Stone Bridge. Later, we continue our journey to Nuremberg to check into our next hotel.
5Nuremberg City Tour and Markets+
Today we explore Nuremberg, a city with a deep-rooted history. A guided walking tour will take us through the festive streets to the famous market squares. You will have the morning to learn about local traditions and the afternoon free to revisit your favourite spots or relax.
6Bamberg’s Nativity Trail and Festive Dinner+
Spend your morning at leisure before we travel to the UNESCO-listed town of Bamberg. We will follow the Nativity Scene Trail through the beautifully decorated old town. The day ends with a festive three-course meal at a traditional local restaurant before we return to Nuremberg.
7At Leisure in Nuremberg+
This is your day to enjoy Nuremberg exactly as you please. You might choose to visit one of the city's many museums, browse more market stalls, or simply find a cosy café and soak up the winter atmosphere.
8Journey Home+
After breakfast, your guide will assist with your transfer back to the airport for your return flight to Dublin, bringing your holiday to a close.
