Sorrento Coast, Pompeii & Capri

Upon arrival at Naples airport, you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a welcome drink with the rest of the group. This is a great chance to meet your fellow travellers and get helpful tips from our local guide about the days ahead.

After breakfast, we travel to Sorrento's port to board a hydrofoil for the short journey to the island of Capri. Known for its clear blue waters and stunning scenery, you will have time to stroll through Capri town and visit the Augustus Gardens. There is also plenty of free time for lunch or an optional visit to the Blue Grotto before we return to the mainland.

The morning begins with a guided walking tour of Sorrento town, where you will learn about its history as a Roman resort. In the afternoon, we head to the ancient city of Pompeii. Our guide will lead us through the excavations, explaining how the 25,000 residents lived before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD froze the city in time.

Today is yours to spend at your leisure. You might choose to relax in Piazza Tasso, the hub of Sorrento, or visit the historic fishing village of Marina Grande for a traditional lunch by the sea. For those staying outside the centre, a transfer will be provided so you can explore the town's small streets and local shops at your own pace.

We head back to the water today for a guided boat trip along the famous Amalfi Coast. We will cruise past colourful villages built into the cliffs before stopping in Positano to explore its boutique shops and narrow streets. We then continue to Amalfi town, where an included visit to the historic Cloister of Paradise is waiting for us.

This is another free day to enjoy the Sorrento Peninsula. Whether you want to relax by the hotel pool or head back into town to sample some local limoncello, our guide will be available to provide recommendations based on your interests.

For your final full day, you can choose to revisit your favourite spots or travel to nearby villages using the local public transport. It is a perfect time to pick up any last-minute souvenirs or simply enjoy a gelato while taking in the views of the Bay of Naples.

After breakfast, we say goodbye to the Sorrento Coast. You will be transferred to Naples airport with the assistance of our guide for your return flight back to Dublin.
