Montenegro & Croatia – Dalmatian Dreams

This seven-night Montenegro Croatia tour offers a balanced and well-organised way to see two of the most beautiful countries on the Adriatic coast. As an Escorted Tour, everything is arranged for you, from direct flights out of Dublin to quality four-star accommodation and daily excursions led by local experts. Your journey begins with a flight to Dubrovnik, followed by a transfer across the border to Becici on the Budva Riviera. This coastal town serves as your base for the first five nights, allowing you to settle in and enjoy half-board dining each evening.
The itinerary is designed to showcase the diverse history of the region. You will spend time exploring the Bay of Kotor, often described as Europe’s southernmost fjord. A boat trip to the islet of Our Lady of the Rocks is a particular highlight, followed by a guided walk through the narrow, stone-paved streets of Kotor’s UNESCO-protected Old Town. The tour also visits Budva, known for its Venetian walls, and the historic royal capital of Cetinje. Here, you will visit the King Nikola Museum to learn about Montenegro’s royal past before returning via a mountain road that offers some of the best views in the Balkans.
One of the most striking days on this Montenegro Croatia tour is the full-day excursion to the Ostrog Monastery. Carved into a near-vertical cliffside high above the Bjelopavlići plain, it is a significant pilgrimage site and an architectural marvel. After five nights in Montenegro, the tour moves back into Croatia, stopping at the coastal town of Herceg Novi before arriving in Dubrovnik. For the final two nights, you will stay in the Lapad area, perfectly situated for exploring the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic.’
In Dubrovnik, a local guide will lead you through the famous Stradun and visit the Rector’s Palace and Franciscan Monastery. You will have plenty of free time to walk the ancient city walls or enjoy a coffee in one of the many squares. With all airport taxes, transfers, a 10kg checked bag, and the services of a dedicated tour leader included, this holiday offers excellent value for travellers who want a straightforward and informative experience. Whether you are interested in medieval architecture, spiritual sites, or simply enjoying the sparkling blue waters of the Adriatic, this tour provides a comprehensive introduction to the Dalmatian coast.
