Poland-A sun-drenched view of the historic Market Square in Poland, a major highlight of the Krakow Auschwitz Tour.

Krakow is a city that provides Irish holidaymakers with a deep sense of history and culture without being overly complicated to navigate. This four-day Escorted Tour is designed to give you a comprehensive look at the city’s past, from its royal medieval roots to the sobering events of the twentieth century. For those looking for a well-organised trip from Ireland, our Krakow Auschwitz Tour offers the perfect balance of expert guidance and personal time to discover this Polish city at your own pace.

Upon arrival, you will find yourself in a city that has preserved its historic architecture through the centuries. The heart of the city is the Main Market Square, one of the largest medieval squares in Europe, surrounded by colourful townhouses and the famous Cloth Hall. Our itinerary ensures you see these highlights early on with a guided walking tour, helping you get your bearings before you enjoy a free evening.

A significant part of this journey is the visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau. We understand that for many guests from Ireland, this is a deeply personal and reflective experience. We provide a private guided tour of both Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau. The expert narrators help put the history into context, ensuring that the visit is handled with the respect and gravity it deserves. It is a powerful reminder of the importance of remembrance, and we allow time afterwards for you to process the visit.

The Jewish Quarter, or Kazimierz, is another essential stop. Once a separate city, it is now a vibrant district filled with synagogues, historic sites, and a unique atmosphere. Our guided walk through this area includes entrance to the Old Synagogue, providing a factual look at the traditions and life of the community that once thrived here.

We also recognise that holidaymakers value their independence. We have left the third morning free so you can choose your own path. Some may wish to visit the famous Salt Mines at Wieliczka, while others might prefer to spend more time at Wawel Castle or simply sit in a cafe and watch the world go by. This flexibility is what makes our Escorted Tour so popular with Irish guests who want a structured trip that doesn’t feel rushed. Accommodation is provided on a bed and breakfast basis in a central hotel, meaning the best local eateries are never far away. With return flights from Dublin and all transfers included, this trip is a straightforward and rewarding way to experience the best of Poland.

What is included in the Krakow Auschwitz Tour?

The tour includes return flights from Dublin, airport taxes, 10kg carry-on luggage, coach transfers, three nights in a central hotel with breakfast, a light lunch on arrival, and several guided tours including entry to Auschwitz-Birkenau and the Old Synagogue.

How much walking is involved on this holiday?

This tour involves a fair amount of walking, particularly during the city tours and the visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Irish holidaymakers should be prepared for some cobblestone streets and steps, so comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.

Is there free time to explore Krakow independently?

Yes, the itinerary is designed with a free evening on Day 1 and Day 2, as well as a full free morning on Day 3. This allows you to visit sites like Wawel Castle or the Salt Mines at your own pace.
