Croatia-A sun-drenched view of the Roman Amphitheatre in Pula, a major highlight of our Istrian Coast tour.

This 7-night Escorted Tour is the perfect choice for Irish holidaymakers looking to discover the authentic culture and natural beauty of Croatia. Your base for this Istrian Coast tour is the historic walled town of Porec, a destination that has managed to retain its local charm and traditional lifestyle despite its enduring popularity. This region is a fascinating mix of Roman history and Venetian influence, all set against the backdrop of the sparkling Adriatic Sea.

The tour is organised on a half-board basis, offering great value with seven breakfasts and seven evening meals included at your hotel. This allows you to relax in the evenings and enjoy local cuisine after a day of sightseeing. We have carefully planned the itinerary to balance guided excursions with plenty of free time, so you can enjoy the holiday at your own pace. One of the early highlights is a guided walk through Porec, where you will visit the 6th-century Euphrasian Basilica and enjoy a brandy tasting at a local family-run distillery.

A standout day on this holiday is the boat tour to Rovinj. Sailing is the best way to see the Istrian coastline, and we will travel through the scenic Lim Bay before arriving in the town often called the ‘Blue Pearl of the Adriatic.’ Rovinj is famous for its narrow, paved streets and tall, colourful houses that cluster around its historic harbour. We have also included a lunch on board the boat, so you can dine while soaking up the coastal views.

Our excursions also take us deeper into the history of the region with a visit to Pula. Here, you will see a Roman amphitheatre that rival the Colosseum in Rome for its preservation. We also visit the hilltop town of Motovun, which offers some of the most impressive panoramic views in all of Croatia. With three full days of leisure included, you will have ample time to swim in the clear coastal waters, explore the many quaint cafes, or simply watch the world go by from a seaside terrace. This guided holiday offers a straightforward and rewarding way to experience the very best of Croatia’s northern coast.
