Classical Spain: Seville, Córdoba & Granada

This seven-day Classical Spain tour is a wonderful choice for Irish holidaymakers looking to experience the authentic heart of Andalucía. This region is a unique corner of Europe where Spanish and Moorish cultures have fused over centuries to create something truly special. For many guests from Ireland, Andalucía remains one of the most unspoilt and welcoming parts of the continent, where traditional values and a genuine love of life are evident in every town and village. This is a fully organised Escorted Tour, meaning you can relax as we take care of all the logistics, from return flights to hand-picked hotel stays.
Our journey begins near the village of Mijas before moving on to Ronda, a city that looks like it belongs in a fairy tale. Split by a deep gorge and sitting on a high ridge, Ronda offers some of the most dramatic views in all of Spain. We then spend time in Seville, a city often described as the most charismatic in the world. You will have plenty of time to wander its historic back streets, visit the final resting place of Christopher Columbus in the grand cathedral, and enjoy the colourful displays in the Maria Luisa Park. A particular highlight is our traditional tapas evening, where you will be introduced to the local custom of small-plate dining that originated in the taverns of this very province.
As we travel east, we visit Córdoba to see the Mezquita. This stunning building was once the most important mosque in the Moorish world and remains an architectural marvel with its endless arcades of striped arches. The tour then takes us to Granada, which sits against the spectacular backdrop of the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains. Here, we visit the Alhambra, a palace and fortress complex that represents the high point of Moorish art and design. Its tranquil gardens and intricate stone carvings are often the standout memory for our guests. Throughout the trip, you will be accompanied by an expert tour manager who will ensure everything runs smoothly, allowing you to simply soak up the atmosphere, the scent of orange blossom, and the superb local cuisine. This is a straightforward, factual, and high-value way to discover the timeless monuments and vivacious cities of southern Spain.
