Baltic Highlights: Vilnius, Riga & Tallinn

This 8-night Escorted Tour is a wonderful way for holidaymakers from Ireland to discover the three distinct nations of the Baltic. On this comprehensive Baltic Highlights tour, you will visit Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, staying in 4-star hotels throughout your journey. Each of these countries boasts a unique history and character, and this organised holiday ensures you see the very best of their capitals and countryside without the stress of planning the logistics yourself.
Your adventure begins in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. This city is celebrated for its hundreds of medieval buildings and stunning baroque churches. You will enjoy a guided sightseeing tour that takes in the most important landmarks, such as the Vilnius Cathedral and the Gates of Dawn. There is also the opportunity to visit the island castle of Trakai, one of the most photographed spots in the region.
As we move into Latvia, the tour stops at the deeply moving Hill of Crosses before arriving at the grand Rundale Palace. This former summer residence is a masterpiece of Baroque architecture. In Riga, often referred to as the ‘Paris of the North’, you will find an incredible mix of Art Nouveau buildings and a charming medieval Old Town. With our local expert guides, you will discover the secrets of the Dome Cathedral and the historic Swedish Gate. We also include a trip to the scenic Gauja National Park, where the ruins of Turaida Castle offer a glimpse into Latvia’s medieval past.
Finally, we reach Tallinn in Estonia. This city is perhaps the most famous of the three for its exceptionally well-preserved medieval centre. Walking through Tallinn feels like stepping back in time, with its ancient city walls and cobblestone squares. You will visit the Great Guild Hall and have plenty of time to enjoy the local shops and cafes. This holiday is designed with Irish guests in mind, offering great value and a straightforward itinerary. We include flights from Dublin, centrally located accommodation, and the expertise of a professional English-speaking guide to ensure your holiday runs smoothly. Whether you are interested in history, architecture, or simply exploring a new corner of Europe, this tour provides a memorable experience in comfort.
