Costa del Sol Bridge Holiday with Peter Pigot

This six-day escorted tour offers a wonderful balance of structured learning and Mediterranean relaxation on our Costa del Sol Bridge holiday. Based in the attractive resort of Benalmádena, you will stay at the four-star Hotel Alay, located just steps from the marina and the lively seafront promenade. This holiday is designed specifically for bridge enthusiasts who want to improve their game in a warm, sociable environment while enjoying the bright Spanish sun.
You will be accompanied throughout the week by Peter Pigot, a professional bridge player and renowned coach. Peter provides a comprehensive programme that includes interactive lessons, supervised play sessions, and friendly duplicate games. The tuition is tailored to the group’s needs, covering topics such as competitive bidding, declarer planning, and defensive signals. Whether you are a novice looking to build confidence or an improver wanting to refine your technique, the atmosphere is always relaxed and supportive. The sessions take place in a private bridge room within the hotel, ensuring a comfortable setting for all players.
Beyond the bridge table, there is plenty of time to enjoy the local culture and scenery. We have included a guided excursion to the historic town of Ronda, one of Andalucia’s most iconic destinations. Known for its dramatic clifftop location and the 18th-century bridge spanning the gorge, Ronda offers a fascinating glimpse into traditional Spain. Back in Benalmádena, you can take advantage of the hotel’s two outdoor pools or take a short train journey into the heart of Málaga to visit its museums and historic centre.
This Costa del Sol Bridge holiday is especially popular with solo travellers. The environment is inclusive and welcoming from the moment you arrive, and Peter ensures that everyone is paired with a suitable partner for games. It is a fantastic way to meet like-minded people who share a love for both travel and the game of bridge. Your package is straightforward and great value, including return flights from Dublin, 10kg check-in luggage, airport transfers, and half-board accommodation. With everything organised by our team, you can simply focus on enjoying your cards and the beautiful Mediterranean surroundings.
