Camino de Santiago with Ciara Kelly

This 8-day Escorted Tour offers a wonderful opportunity to complete the Camino de Santiago Ciara Kelly. Now in its third year, this specially organised walking holiday follows the final 100km of the Portuguese Coastal Way. You will be joined by Dr. Ciara Kelly, the well-known broadcaster and founder of the 100DaysOfWalking initiative, making this a social and shared experience for all involved. The journey is designed for value-conscious travellers who want the security of a group while enjoying the freedom of a self-paced walk through the beautiful landscapes of Galicia.
Your adventure begins in the seaside town of Baiona, where you will stay at the magnificent Parador de Baiona. This historic hotel, located in a converted medieval fortress, provides a fantastic base before you set off along the Atlantic coast. One of the primary benefits of this tour is the inclusion of daily luggage transfers. Each morning, your main bags are collected and transported to your next accommodation, allowing you to walk with just a light day pack and focus on the stunning coastal views and fragrant pine forests.
The route takes you through vibrant towns like Vigo and historic villages such as Redondela and Arcade. You will experience a mix of maritime scenery and rural Galician life, passing vineyards, Romanesque churches, and river valleys. The walk is straightforward and well-supported, with 24/7 on-site assistance and plenty of places to stop for a rest or a coffee along the way. In Caldas de Reis, you can even follow the local tradition of soaking your feet in the warm thermal springs after a day on the trail.
Reaching the final destination at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela is an unforgettable moment. Walking into the Plaza del Obradoiro with your fellow travellers provides a great sense of achievement. The tour includes return flights from Dublin, seven nights of accommodation in a mix of standard and superior hotels, daily breakfast, and three group evening meals. This holiday is an excellent way to experience the tradition of the Camino in a friendly, organised environment where all the logistics are managed for you.
