Croatia Walking Holiday

This guided Croatia walking holiday offers an exceptional opportunity to discover one of Europe’s most stunning coastlines. As an Escorted Tour designed for those who enjoy being active while taking in rich history, this 7-night adventure balances professionally guided treks with plenty of time to relax and explore at your own pace. You will spend four nights in the world-famous city of Dubrovnik and three nights in the peaceful surroundings of Orebic on the Peljesac Peninsula, staying in a mix of 3 and 4-star accommodation.
The journey begins in Dubrovnik, the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic,’ where you can wander through the limestone streets of the Old Town. One of the early highlights of this trip is a guided walk from the village of Cilipi to Cavtat. This 8km route takes you through the scenic Konavale region, offering a perfect introduction to the Mediterranean landscape. As we transition to the Peljesac Peninsula, you will have the chance to walk the incredible Ston Walls. Known as the ‘European Great Wall,’ this 14th-century fortification system stretches for 5km and offers spectacular views over salt pans and the azure sea.
Your stay in Orebic serves as a base for exploring the heart of Croatia’s wine country. The itinerary includes a challenging yet rewarding 16km walk through fig and olive groves, leading to the 15th-century Franciscan Convent. From this vantage point, the Peljesac Channel and neighbouring islands look truly magnificent. We also include a day trip by private boat to Korcula Island, where you will trek through the Kocje forest vegetation reserve. Korcula Town itself is a labyrinth of herringbone-patterned streets, often compared to a miniature Dubrovnik.
No Croatia walking holiday would be complete without experiencing the local flavours. A gentle 4.5km stroll through the peninsula’s vineyards leads us to a local winery, where you can enjoy a tasting of the region’s famous Peljesac wines. The final portion of the holiday returns you to Dubrovnik for a full day at leisure. This is the perfect time to visit Lokrum Island or simply enjoy a coffee by the harbour before your flight home.
With return flights, airport transfers, and half-board accommodation included, this tour provides excellent value for travellers. Your expert local guide will be with you every step of the way, ensuring you get off the beaten track to see the real Croatia. Whether you are walking along ancient walls or through quiet forest trails, this holiday is organised to ensure every moment is memorable.
