Day 1

Prague, Czech Republic

Begin your Opera Break getaway with a direct Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Prague.

• Arrive Prague: 11:10

On arrival, you’ll be greeted by your expert local guide and whisked away to the Grandium Hotel, perfectly
located for exploring the city. Here, you’ll settle in for a three-night stay, as you prepare to experience the
magic of Prague.
Your Hotel: Grandium Hotel, Prague | The Design Grandium Hotel Prague is located in the heart
of Prague. All main points such as Wenceslas as well as Old town Squares, Prague State Opera,
National Museum or Municipal House are within walking distance.
Check-in is 3pm and should rooms not be ready on arrival, bags can be left with the hotel reception.
Discover Prague’s Old Town
After a light lunch, join your local guide for a short guided walking tour through the historic streets of
Prague’s Old Town. Explore its cobblestone lanes, charming squares, and architectural treasures, and get a
perfect introduction to the city’s rich history and vibrant culture.
Get to know your fellow travellers over lunch in one of Prague’s local restaurants.

Day 2

Morning
Our Prague City tour is a superb introduction to the city of Prague, a city known for its rich opulent beauty
and epic history. Meet your local guide in hotel lobby and set off to learn about the history of Prague. The
coach tour will introduce you to the major historical areas of Prague with Wenceslas Square at its heart, where the State Opera and National Museum look down on. Next, you will drive up to Prague Castle to
discover the major sights within. Please do be aware that this is a very popular time for visit to Prague and
there can be a queue into the castle district, this does however usually move quickly. Our guide will guide
bring to life the magnificent buildings in the Castle district and explaining their turbulent history, and royal
connections. Admire the grandeur of Saint Vitus Cathedral and the ancient architecture of the Old Royal
Palace. From Prague Castle, your guide will walk you down to the Vltava River, beginning with a flight of
steps (the steps are lengthy, but wide and deep, and so fairly easy to walk down).
The walk will take you across the city’s most well-known historic attraction, the stunning Charles Bridge,
which offers wonderful panoramic views of the city.
Behind the Scenes at the Estates Theatre Prague | Step inside one of Europe’s most beautiful and historic
opera houses with a guided tour of Prague’s magnificent Estates Theatre. Best known for hosting the world
premiere of Mozart’s Don Giovanni in 1787, this elegant theatre offers a fascinating glimpse into Prague’s
rich musical and cultural heritage, with beautifully preserved interiors and captivating stories from
centuries past.
(Should the theatre cancel this for any reason, such as a closed rehearsal, we will replace the tour with an
alternative event)
Please note that sightseeing tour is part by coach and part on foot as some of the most historic areas of
Prague are only accessible on foot. We recommend that you wrap up warm and wear comfortable shoes
as the majority of the tour takes place on foot.
Remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure.

Evening
Enjoy an unforgettable dining experience at Mlýnec, one of Prague’s most elegant riverside restaurants,
perfectly positioned beside the Vltava River with stunning views of Charles Bridge. Renowned for its
modern Czech cuisine, refined atmosphere and exceptional service, Mlýnec combines contemporary
flavours with locally sourced ingredients to create a sophisticated and memorable evening in the heart of
the city.

Day 3

Enjoy a free day to explore the enchanting city of Prague at your leisure. Wander through the charming
cobbled streets of the Old Town, discover hidden cafés and historic landmarks, or choose from a range of
optional experiences including guided walking tours, cultural excursions and relaxing river cruises along the
scenic Vltava River.
OPTIONAL EXTRA
We also have an optional extra evening event for those who would like to attend a second opera evening –
Nabucco in the Prague State Opera House. The Grandium Hotel Prague is ideally located just a short walk
from the Prague State Opera. The walk is approximately 5–7 minutes through the elegant streets of
central Prague.
