Viva Journey of Diamonds & Cathedrals

This five-day Rhine River Cruise takes travellers through a selection of the most historic and culturally significant cities in Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Starting and ending in Düsseldorf, this holiday is an excellent choice for those looking for a straightforward, all-inclusive river experience on a high-standard vessel. The journey is well-organised, beginning with a direct flight from Dublin and a transfer straight to the Viva Enjoy, a five-star ship designed for comfort and relaxation.
Düsseldorf sets the tone for the trip, offering a mix of traditional pubs and modern architecture. As you sail towards Antwerp, you will encounter a city that has been the centre of the diamond trade for centuries. The historic heart of the city is dominated by the ornate guildhalls of the Grote Markt and the towering Cathedral of Our Lady. Moving into the heart of Belgium, Brussels awaits with its world-renowned Grand-Place and a culinary scene famous for everything from fine pralines to hearty local brews.
The journey also includes a stop in Nijmegen, which holds the title of the oldest city in the Netherlands. Its Roman heritage and medieval churches provide a fascinating look back in time, while its location on the Waal river offers scenic views as the ship makes its way back toward Germany. Onboard, the experience is designed to be stress-free. The all-inclusive nature of the cruise means that breakfast, lunch, and multi-course gourmet dinners are all covered, along with a wide range of hot and cold drinks throughout the day.
With flights, transfers, and gratuities included in the price, this Rhine River Cruise offers great value for Irish holidaymakers who want to see several European cities without the need for constant packing and unpacking. The ship itself features modern amenities, including a fitness centre, a wellness area with a sauna, and even a whirlpool on the sun deck for those who want to watch the scenery go by in comfort. Whether you are interested in the art of Rubens in Antwerp or the historic architecture of Brussels, this cruise provides a factual and enjoyable look at the best of the Rhine.
