Itinerary
Day 1

Helsinki, Finland

Travel to Helsinki

We depart Dublin on our direct flight to Helsinki. Upon arrival, we’ll be met by our tour leader and local guide before transferring by coach to our centrally located 4-star hotel, where we’ll stay for two nights. The hotel offers the perfect base from which to explore Finland’s vibrant capital.

Dinner this evening will be served in the hotel.

Day 2

Helsinki & Suomenlinna Fortress Island

Helsinki offers a unique blend of quirky urban charm and tranquil natural beauty, creating a serene yet dynamic atmosphere.

Our day begins with a city sightseeing tour by coach, taking in iconic landmarks such as the Sibelius Monument, the striking Rock Church (with entrance), and the historic Senate Square. Here, we’ll stop for lunch before continuing by ferry to the UNESCO-listed Suomenlinna Fortress Island, where a guided walking tour reveals its fascinating history.

Enjoy some free time to explore the island at your own pace before returning by ferry to the bustling Market Square and strolling back to our hotel.

Day 3

Tallinn, Estonia

Old Porvoo – Ferry to Tallinn

Today we step back in time with a visit to Old Porvoo, a historical gem and one of Finland’s most treasured architectural sites. Stroll through its charming cobblestone streets and admire the well-preserved medieval wooden houses. Following a city sightseeing tour by coach, we continue our journey with a scenic ferry ride across the Gulf of Finland to Tallinn, Estonia’s captivating capital.

Upon arrival in Tallinn, we’ll be transferred by coach to our hotel, where we will stay for the next five nights. This provides plenty of time to explore the enchanting Estonian capital, renowned for its medieval charm, vibrant culture, and rich history.

Day 4

Free Day to Explore Tallinn

Enjoy a full day at leisure to discover Tallinn at your own pace — wander through the charming Old Town, visit local cafés, or explore the city’s museums.

Day 5

Tour of Tallinn & Medieval Dinner

Today we explore the enchanting Tallinn Old Town on a guided tour with an English-speaking guide. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this medieval treasure is famed for its cobblestone streets, historic architecture, and vibrant atmosphere. Beyond its historical significance, the Old Town remains a lively hub of cultural events and activity.

After the tour, we’ll return to the hotel before transferring to a local medieval-style restaurant for dinner.

Day 6

Tartu

Today, we depart for Tartu, Estonia’s second-largest city and the oldest in the Baltic States, dating back to 1030. Upon arrival, a guided city tour will introduce us to Tartu’s rich history, vibrant culture, and academic heritage, making it a fascinating destination to explore.

You will have some free time to explore Tartu before we make our way back to Tallinn.

Day at Leisure

Today is yours to enjoy a free day exploring the charming city of Tallinn at your own pace.

Return flight home

After breakfast, you will have a few hours free before we are transferred to the airport for our return flight to Dublin
