Germany & France-The scenic Petite France district in Strasbourg, a highlight of the Rhine Main Winter journey river cruise.

This organised river cruise is a fantastic way to explore some of the most historic cities in Germany and France during the colder months. Your Rhine Main Winter journey begins in Frankfurt, where the modern skyline provides a striking contrast to the traditional river landscapes you will soon discover. Travelling on the 5-star Viva Tiara, which was freshly renovated in 2020, you will experience a high level of comfort as you glide along these famous waterways. The holiday is designed for travellers who appreciate a well-planned itinerary and great value, with return flights from Dublin, transfers, and an all-inclusive package all included in the price.

During your stay on board, you will enjoy multi-course gourmet menus served at your table, along with a wide selection of hot and cold drinks available throughout the day. A special highlight of the trip is the High Tea, where you can enjoy sandwiches, scones, and macarons. The ship itself features a modern and spacious design, with a sauna, steam room, and a whirlpool on the sun deck for those who want to relax after a day of sightseeing. Each cabin is well-appointed with Rituals beauty products and a freshly stocked minibar.

The route takes you to Speyer, where you can walk through the well-preserved old town and visit the largest Romanesque church in Europe. You will also spend time in Strasbourg, exploring the charming ‘Petite France’ district with its medieval architecture. In Mainz, the deep red sandstone of the cathedral and the history of the Gutenberg Museum offer plenty of cultural interest. This river cruise provides a peaceful and festive atmosphere, allowing you to see these famous landmarks without the heavy crowds often found in the summer. With gratuities and onboard WIFI also included, this is a straightforward and enjoyable way to see the heart of Europe in winter.
