Itinerary
Belfast, Northern Ireland
You board the Ambassador Ambition in Belfast Harbour. She sets off on your holiday in the afternoon.
Liverpool, England
Liverpool is heaven for sport and music lovers, and it also happens to host the UK’s largest collection of museums and galleries outside London. Visit iconic Beatles sites like Penny Lane.
At Sea
Reykjavík, Iceland
Iceland’s epic landscape defies description. The greenest of valleys. The blackest of beaches. The bluest of geothermal springs. Still-warm lava fields. Reykjavik is known for brightly coloured roofs, vibrant cafés and boutiques.
Ísafjörður, Iceland
Situated just below the Arctic Circle, Isafjördur is the largest town in the Westfjords region of Iceland. It sits on a gravel spit that stands out into the Skutulsfjördur flanked on three sides by towering mountains. There are only three roads leading out of the town and all are through tunnels. The Maritime Museum traces the life and history of the settlement where fishing has been, and remains, the area’s main source of income. The Westfjords region is a nature lover’s paradise and a popular excursion visits the magical island of Vigur, which is home to a large eider duck colony and vast bird population.
Akureyri, Iceland
Akureyri, Iceland’s second largest city—affectionately known as the Capital of North Iceland—is one of the country’s most important ports and fishing centres. Today, Akureyri is creating something of a buzz for its cool café scene, growing gourmet movement and bustling nightlife. But don’t let that fool you. The atmosphere here is always laid back. From a fabulous summer festival program (energised by the near 24-hour daylight) to some of the best winter skiing you could wish for, Akureyri is a great base for exploring Eyjafjörður, Iceland’s longest fjord, all year round. Whale-watching opportunities abound here, so bring your binoculars!
Seydisfjordur, Iceland
At the eastern tip of Iceland, Seydisfjordur is surrounded by towering mountains. The fjord of the same name is considered one of the most beautiful in the country, offering stunning views that will stay with you forever.
At Sea
Belfast, Northern Ireland
Your cruise comes to an end as you cruise into Belfast Port. Disembarkation begins shortly after the ship docks.
