This seven-night Escorted Tour on the water is based onboard the five-star Celebrity Constellation, a ship well-regarded for its high standard of dining and attentive service. From the moment you depart Dublin, every detail is managed for you, including flights, port transfers, and your stay on the ship, ensuring a straightforward and stress-free holiday experience.
The journey begins in Rome, where you will be transferred to the port of Civitavecchia to board your vessel. The first port of call is La Spezia, the gateway to the stunning Ligurian coast. This area is famous for its naval history and impressive art collections. Following this, the Italy French Riviera cruise visits the charming town of Santa Margherita. Here, Irish guests can enjoy a stroll along the palm-lined harbour or perhaps take an excursion to the rugged cliffs and colourful villages of the nearby Cinque Terre.
As the cruise moves into French waters, you will visit Ajaccio on the island of Corsica. Known for its mild climate and as the birthplace of Napoleon, the town is a pleasant place to explore ancient streets and relaxed seafront cafés. The ship then continues to Villefranche-sur-Mer, providing convenient access to the glamour of Nice and the French Riviera. Whether you choose to explore the narrow lanes of the Old City or visit the mountaintop village of Eze, the Cote d’Azur offers plenty of character and history.
A highlight for many travellers from Ireland is the day at sea, which allows you to fully enjoy the Celebrity Constellation’s facilities. With full-board cuisine included, you can sample everything from casual café treats to more formal dining. The final port of call is Naples, a city full of life and located in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius. It is a fantastic final stop before returning to Rome for your transfer to the airport. This Italy French Riviera cruise is an excellent choice for value-conscious guests who want a high-quality holiday that is easy to navigate, with 20kg of luggage and all taxes included in the price.
