Norwegian Fjords & Mountains Ocean Cruise

This 11-night Norway fjords tour offers a brilliant opportunity to see some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe without the hassle of flying. Departing directly from Belfast, you will set sail on the well-appointed ship, Ambition, for a thoroughly organised journey through the heart of the Norwegian coastline. This Escorted Tour is perfectly paced for those who want to relax and soak up the natural beauty of the north in a straightforward and comfortable manner.
Your adventure begins with a short hop across the Irish Sea to Liverpool before you enjoy two peaceful days at sea. These initial days are the perfect time to get to know the ship’s facilities, from the wellness classes to the swimming pools, or simply to find a comfortable spot on deck to watch the ocean go by. As you approach the Norwegian coast, the landscape changes dramatically, revealing the scale of the fjords.
One of the true highlights of this Norway fjords tour is the visit to Austefjorden. This narrow, winding waterway feels incredibly intimate, with steep mountains rising directly from the water’s edge. It is a quieter corner of Norway that many larger ships miss, allowing you to experience the stillness and scale of the landscape in a more personal way. From here, the journey continues to the famous village of Flåm, located at the end of the Aurlandsfjord. Here, you have the chance to see the landscape from a different perspective, perhaps by taking the world-renowned railway that climbs through the narrow valleys.
The trip also takes you to the iconic Geirangerfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its vertical cliffs and the ‘Seven Sisters’ waterfalls. Seeing these natural wonders from the deck of your ship is an incredible experience. In addition to the natural scenery, you will explore the coastal beauty of Ålesund, a town famous for its unique Art Nouveau architecture and lovely island views.
Back on board, you will be well looked after with full board dining included as standard. From the Captain’s Gala Dinner to the daily entertainment and guest speakers, there is always something to enjoy. This cruise is designed for travellers who appreciate great value and factual, friendly service, ensuring you can focus entirely on the incredible sights of the Norwegian fjords. With all port taxes and luggage porterage included, you can rest easy knowing that the essentials are taken care of from the moment you leave Belfast.
