Itinerary
Day 1-3

Los Angeles, California

Following your flight from Dublin, you will be transferred to the hotel for your two night stay before your cruise.

Following your stay, you will be transferred to the port for your cruise.

The trend-setting global metropolis of Los Angeles has it all. Get to know the Entertainment Capital of the World: Stroll the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and take a drive down cinematic Sunset Boulevard. But there’s a lot more to explore in LA than its star-studded heritage. Enjoy the 75 miles of coastline: wander the famous canals of Venice Beach, or drive out to the more remote Malibu coast. Get your culture on at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, home to everything from ancient Islamic artefacts to contemporary American art. Or stretch your legs with a hike at Runyon Canyon Park – it offers great views of the surrounding hills and the iconic Hollywood sign.

Day 4-8

At Sea

Play However You Like!

North Star®
It’s time to raise the bar on adventure – with 360-degree views of the world from 100 metres above sea level in the North Star® observation capsule – winner of the Guinness World Record for tallest viewing deck on a cruise ship.

FlowRider®
Grab your board and get ready for 100,000 litres of rushing amazingness headed your way. The surf’s always up on the 12-metre-long FlowRider® surf simulator.

Rock Climbing Wall
Rise to the occasion and take on the signature Rock Climbing Wall. From beginners to speed climbers, everyone can enjoy an unparalleled view from 12 metres (40 feet) above deck. Included in your fare, no reservation required.

Day 9

Cross International Date Line

The International Date Line is an imaginary line extending from the North Pole to the South Pole through the Pacific Ocean. It serves as the 180th meridian of longitude, and is used to designate the beginning of each calendar day.

As you know, each adjacent time zone on the map has an hour time difference. However, at the International Date Line, +12 hours and -12 hours meet, bringing about a 24-hour time change. So while a person standing just to the west of the line may be celebrating Christmas Eve at 6 pm, someone just to the east will already be sitting down to Christmas dinner on December 25th.

Therefore, when your ship crosses this line heading west, a day is added, and while crossing in an easterly direction, a day is subtracted.

Crossing the International Date Line has long been a rite of passage for sailors, who often must participate in a line-crossing ceremony to become part of the sacred “Order of the Golden Dragon”, an honorary naval fraternity.

Day 10-14

At Sea

Nights You’ll Never Forget

North Star Bar
After you’ve taken a ride on the North Star℠, featuring brilliant 360º views from 90 metres above sea level, celebrate your unforgettable ascent with something sparkling, mixed, frosty or tropical. At North Star Bar, the sips are just as impressive as the sights.

Spectra’s Cabaret
Experiential cinema comes alive to the sound of pop culture anthems in this mind-bending mix of music and tech. Welcome to Spectra’s Cabaret.

Two70 Bar
Grab a hand-crafted cocktail at Two70 Bar and start gazing because you never know what you’ll see. In the evening, live entertainment pairs with amazing multimedia visuals across a floor-to-ceiling wall of windows. When evening turns to night, Two70® transforms into a nightclub that keeps the party going strong. Raise a glass to that.

Music Hall℠
At Music Hall℠, no night sounds the same as the last. Get a front row view from anywhere on the dance floor while live music plays – or take in the scene in an intimate hideaway corner with your favourite cocktails.

Day 15-16

Sapporo (Hokkaido), Japan

The capital of Hokkaido, Sapporo is a gateway to Japan’s northern island of rugged mountains, hot springs and endless winter adventures. Cruise through Odori Park, an oasis that hosts the world-famous Snow Festival in winter, a lilac festival in spring and a beer festival in summer. Learn about Hokkaido’s frontier history at Former Hokkaido Government Office, an exquisite example of American neo-Baroque architecture dating back to 1888. Cruise to Sapporo to immerse yourself in Japanese culture, soak your bones in the steamy springs of Jozankei and feast on Sapporo’s famous hearty ramen noodle soup defined by salty miso, a fermented soy bean paste.

Day 17

Hakodate (Hokkaido), Japan

Gaze down over Hakodate, from the heights of its namesake peak – Mount Hakodate – to see the city stretching out spectacularly, with back-to-back twin bays splitting the ocean. Hakodate port was one of the first to open Japan up to the world, and to international trade in 1859 – a fact reflected in the architecture, with its influences from the West and beyond. The port area is a redbrick wash of warehouses turned shopping malls, all observed by the onion domes of the city’s Russian Orthodox church. Elsewhere, the star-shaped Goryokaku fortress glows with natural colours and a beautiful haze of cherry blossom during the season. Goryokaku Tower, which rises up beside it, offers a sweeping bird’s eye view of the green fortress and mountain backdrop. Buses trundle up the 335-metre incline to the top of Mount Hakodate, but the best way to reach the views is to jump on the ropeway, which swings high above downtown’s buildings, over a carpet of pine trees. Head up to the mountain’s heights as sunset approaches. With darkness sweeping in, and the lights flickering to life, the panorama is one of Japan’s most spectacular. Soak it all in, and look out to the horizon, dotted with the shimmering lights of ships hauling in harvests of the city’s renowned squid. The plankton-rich waters attract a delicious variety of feasting sea life to Hakodate’s coast, which is then plated up in the city’s numerous, skilled restaurants. For an eye-opening, whirring morning, see the freshest produce being doled out at Hakodate Morning Market – amid a cacophony of noise and activity.

Day 18

At Sea

Let the Flavour Fest Begin

Coastal Kitchen
Exclusively for suite guests, Coastal Kitchen fuses Mediterranean influences with farm-fresh flavours from California. The menu is filled with Pacific Coast favourites and Med-inspired starters.

La Patisserie
Get ready for some French confectionary perfection. Take your sweet tooth on a decadent journey through an exciting assortment of flaky macarons, tantalising petits-fours and rich artisan chocolates – all paired with tasty espressos, frothy cappuccinos and more at La Patisserie.

Chops Grille℠
For more than a decade, the chefs at Chops Grille have specialised in serving up quality, hand-cut meat. Dinner at this hallmark Royal Caribbean speciality restaurant goes far beyond the typical steakhouse experience, though, with reimagined classics like succulent Maine lobster, gruyere cheese potato croquettes, white truffle-scented mushroom soup and of course, expertly prepared prime beef.

The Café @ Two70
The Café@Two70 is a gourmet marketplace where every meal comes with a side of captivating views. Choose from a variety of savoury hot-pressed sandwiches, crisp custom-made salads, homemade soups and more – all packed up picnic-style, so you can enjoy them while looking out of floor-to-ceiling windows in Two70® or anywhere else onboard.

Day 19

Tokyo, Japan

Following your cruise, you will be transferred to the hotel for your three night stay.

Yokohama is the central gateway to exploring Tokyo, a once-humble fishing village that is now one of the world’s biggest, most densely populated cities. You’ll find an eclectic mix of traditional shrines and soaring skyscrapers lining these neon-lit streets. Walk the Rainbow Bridge over Tokyo Bay alongside the Yurikamome Rail Line, a futuristic, operatorless train system. Then, see old Tokyo at the Imperial Palace, an Edo Castle surrounded by moats and gardens perfect for strolling. Cruise to Tokyo and head to iconic Sensoji Buddhist Temple and pass below the massive red paper lantern of the Thunder Gate. Then, unwind in Yoyogi Park, a literal forest in the heart of the city, complete with Zen gardens and a gingko tree forest.

Following your hotel stay, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Ireland.
